The Outstanding Omega Sigma Chapter was organized May 29, 1939 at the Northeast Regional Conference. The chapter was chartered by seven amazing educators: Iris Bradby Peeples, Irene J. Martin, Madge Ford Daniels, Mildren D. Harrell, Marie L. Holland, Susie J. Barnes, And Arquilla Ross Bradshaw. The Omega Sigma Chapter serves the Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Gloucester communities. Omega Sigma has 3 Undergraduate Chapters: Zeta Xi (Hampton University), Sigma Lambda (The College of William & Mary), And NERU At CNU. Omega Sigma also has the Philo, Rhoer, and Rhosebud affiliate organizations.
